Holiday Cocktails at #TheKeg

I am so happy and thrilled to be working again with The Keg Steakhouse & Bar this Holiday Season.

Keg2015i1

In celebration of the Holiday Season, The Keg has introduced  me to 10 of their curated cocktails and martinis including but not limited to:    Cranberry Mojito, a twist on the Dark and Stormy made with ginger,  Pomegranate Royale perfect for festive celebrations and a new winter favourite, the Bourbon Maple Martini.

Having been invited to try our their menu, I stopped by for a quick bite and drinks and ended up having one of my most memorable meals of the week.

We started with delicious calamari, which paired with the jalapenos and lemon, eased into my mouth like butter – so perfectly delicious.

The drinks we ordered were the Blackberry Mule ( which was mine, so so good ) ,  we also  ordered the Cranberry Mojito which paired well with the iceberg starter salad. I began with a Ceasar Salad.

We both had the Top Sirloin.. while this is an absolute must for me, I know many people that LOVE the prime rib. If you like one you are sure to love the other – what a great combination.

While too full for dessert – ( and heading to a party afterwards ) I am sure I will be coming back to the Keg for another Holiday Classic Cocktail.

As I have recently been into the red wines, it is a fun and beautiful addition to a steak dinner to include a Blackberry Mule or Cranberry Mojito into the mix.

Best  always,

Melissa ♥

The Keg & Cavalia : Review and CONTEST

Cavalia6

Summer is by far one of the greatest reasons to spend it out on the town.  I was beyond thrilled when The Keg invited me to dinner with them and a show at Cavalia Odysseo .  Though I was not the biggest fan of horses, I now can say I want to live in a magical world where there are many of them.

Having taken my mum, she said it reminded her of the theatrical feel of a Vegas show.  They most definitely put their hearts ( and hard working sculpted bodies) into the production.

We had dinner before the show, my mum enjoying the Sea Bass and I had a 6oz steak with some delicious sides.  I always have steak well done as I cannot have any pink in it.  Our waitress was simply lovely and the entire experience at the restaurant, I am happy to say that I have never had a better experience as a customer.  The food and wine was on time and fresh.  We even treated ourselves to creme brulee which was cooked perfectly. Steak at the Keg is always cooked the same for me when I ask for well done and is one of the reasons I will always have it as a top choice.

Dinner was before the show at The Keg on the Esplanade.  Such a beautiful night.  We took a quick cab ride over to the show. I am glad that I wore comfortable shoes and would advise ladies against anything with a heel, as the entirety is filled with rocks.  I am not sure why, maybe something for the horses, but nonetheless – wear comfy shoes.

When we arrived at the show, we had amazing seats, middle of the show and center but towards the front which was amazing.

From the moment the lights dimmed and the show began, I knew that even if it was exactly the same everything I would go see it again because it was that good !

The Keg was so lovely they decided I get to give away an experience like this to one of my followers 🙂
